Mr. Lysonge graduated in 1998 from Fisk University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Distinction (Summa Cum Laude) and Honors (Phi Beta Kappa). In 2001, he received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. While attending law school, Mr. Lysonge worked as a full-time lobbyist for the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association lobbying the Tennessee General Assembly on various issues including governmental tort reform. Upon graduating from Vanderbilt, Mr. Lysonge joined the Indianapolis law firm of Baker and Daniels as an associate on the firm’s Governmental Affairs team. As a lawyer with Baker and Daniels, Mr. Lysonge lobbied the Indiana General Assembly on behalf of several clients including: the City of Gary, the City of Indianapolis, major steel manufacturers, car manufacturers, big tobacco, riverboat casinos, and medical equipment suppliers. In 2003, Mr. Lysonge left Baker and Daniels and formed a limited liability company for the practice of law focused in the areas of federal and state procurements, commercial litigation, debt collection, and real estate (residential acquisitions and finance). Mr. Lysonge practiced law privately until accepting an in-house staff attorney position with the Simon Property Group (SPG) in 2004. As a Staff Attorney with SPG, Mr. Lysonge was responsible for lease negotiations at sixteen (16) of the retail developer’s, Tier 1, regional shopping malls including Town Center at Aurora (Aurora, CO), Cielo Vista Mall (El Paso, TX), Brea Mall (Brea, CA), Westminster Mall (Westminster, CA), Wolfchase Galleria (Memphis, TN), and Oak Court Mall (Memphis, TN). Mr. Lysonge joined Pedcor in April 2006 and primarily works on leasing and contracts for Pedcor City Center Development Co. and other development related activities.

Mr. Lysonge has also worked for the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Tennessee, as well as the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Lysonge serves on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Association for Child Care Resources and Referrals and is a Commissioner on the Indiana Commission on the Social Status of Black Males. He is also an active member of the International Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Indiana Bar Association. He was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Indianapolis Public Schools.
